About our hostel...

Come and experience the peace of this unique location in the remote Tywi valley. The track leading to this 17th century former farmhouse takes you into an era before electricity, with gas lighting and a large open fire for heat. Hot showers are available. The Welsh National Cycle Route passes nearby, the Cambrian Way long distance path is not far off, there are many other mountain tracks, pony trekking is available and bird watchers will be well rewarded.

Train to Llanwrtyd Wells then 16km walk
Train to Aberystwyth, bus to Tregaron (6 per day Mon-Sat) then walk 15km over the hills.

Tyncornel hostel 31 km by road or 8 km on footpaths

COMMENTS from the visitors' book ....

This is one of the best hostels we have stayed in. We were well looked after and the atmosphere here is wonderful. It is very cosy and because there are no TVs people get to know each other and work together.
This is what hostelling should be -- rural, rustic and very welcoming.
(From a teacher leading a school group) Wow what an amazing place. I'm so pleased it has been saved, I will be bringing my family to stay.
(Aged 10) I thought that it would be boring without TV and electricity but it was fun. I liked using torches when it got dark.
A wonderful place to unwind, with the best of company.
