Rapunzel Hostel is centrally located in the hip and happening area of Istanbul, "Galata", in the Beyoglu district. How to get there... From Ataturk Airport (European Side): 1) Take the M1 metro line (Aksaray-Airport metro line, red line) 2) Get off at Zeytinburnu station and take the T1 tram line (Zeytinburnu - Kabatas tram, dark blue line) and get off at Karakoy. 3) Follow the way going up to Galata Tower (Bankalar Street; Kamondo Steps; Bereketzade Mosque; Rapunzel Guesthouse). In 5 minutes you will reach our hostel. From Sabiha Gokcen Airport (Asian Side): 1) Take the E-10 public bus to Kadikoy. http://harita.iett.gov.tr/en/saat.php?hat=ex10 2) From there take the ferry from Kadikoy to Karakoy, which lasts 20 minutes. 3) Follow the way going up to Galata Tower (Bankalar Street; Kamondo Steps; Bereketzade Mosque;; Rapunzel Guesthouse). In 5 minutes you will reach our hostel. Prices... 14 to 18 Euros
^^^	COMMENTS from the visitors' book .... It has a cool artsy vibe going. It's in an old restored building, and there's all this exposed brick. They also have artwork (of prior guests!) in the stairwell. The included breakfast is a very filling Turkish one with cheese, fruit, and olives. All the bathrooms are en suite and the one in my room had tons of hot water in the shower and was very clean and nice for what I would expect in Turkey. Also free lockers included with your stay, locks provided. Just returned from our 2010 family summerholiday through Eastern Europe....thinking back on Rapunzel as the most pleasant place to stay of all. I can see that Rapunzel is really working on developing the good atmosphere, the feeling of home in the big/ busy/ dirty and lovely city of Istanbul and first of all contributing to the friendship between nationalities and religions (a tough task these days!)
