About our hostel... The Riverside Lodge is a small, privately run hostel at the heart of Berlin. If you are looking for a relaxed, fun but professional atmosphere, this is the place for you. It is our goal and responsibility to help make your vacation a memorable one. The Riverside Lodge is located on a quite side street near the river Spree. You will stay across the Paul-Linke-Ufer in Kreuzberg, an area known for its many popular cafes and bars. If you wish to explore Berlin with some added physical fun, we are happy to provide you with bicycles or canoes. Use Berlin’s excellent network of bicycle paths to discover the attractions the city has to offer: cycle along the river, travel around Berlin’s different neighborhoods, or go directly to one of the many historically significant parts of the town: Alexanderplatz, Kurfürstendamm, Potsdamer Platz, the Brandenburg Gate or the Reichstag. (All less than 20 minutes away by bike). If you are looking for a more unusual way to experience Berlin, take one of our canoes for a paddle through the diverse waterways connecting the neighborhoods of Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain, Charlottenburg, Berlin-Mitte and Treptow. After a refreshing excursion, you can always moor at one of the many boat restaurants along the way, such as the “Van Loon” oder "Freischwimmer". For even more ambitious guests, we can recommend a day trip to one of Berlin’s beautiful lakes (Wannsee or Müggelsee). We look forward to your visit – welcome. |
